Please meet a very special group of Year 7 pupils. Here are the stalwarts of our daily recycling club, they work tirelessly each lunchtime to ensure the school site is clean and waste is correctly recycled. They are the very worthy first recipients of our new pupil reward prizes. Outstanding role models for our school community, we are very proud of them.

During recent months our Pupil Leadership Group have been discussing the introduction of a rewards system aligned with positive behaviour points awarded on our Satchel One communications system. We are delighted to announce that their planning has paid off, thanks to the kind support from one of our principal school partners, the rewards system is now in place at school. Full details have been shared through Satchel One and our first reward recipients have already received their awards.

Great credit to our Pupil Leadership Group for their important support to our recent mobile phone policy change and now for leading on this fabulous addition to school. A massive thank you to Geraint and the team at 4 Colour Digital for your fabulous support in this new pupil led initiative.

Another day of fabulous Welsh language performances from our renowned Eisteddfod Group. We are extremely proud of them!

Ysgol Bae Baglan is a community focussed school, working in partnership with a wide range of partners across the local and wider community. We are proud to offer our exceptional facilities for use by our community to enjoy a wide range of sporting activities, creative arts classes and Welsh language courses. This week we put the spotlight on our fabulous weekly pottery & textiles club, led by our very own Mrs Noonan. It is lovely to see our community coming into school to enjoy this weekly event. Judging by the laughter coming from the room, they have plenty of fun as well.

Congratulations to our Year 8 boys football team on reaching the Neath Port Talbot Schools Cup Final after winning their semi-final against Ysgol Dwr Y Felin yesterday afternoon. Huge thanks to Mr Gorvett for all his hard work with the team.

During the summer term our pupils in Year 6- 8 inclusive will be taking on the Welsh Athletics walking challenge. They will be walking 1 mile, 3 times a week during registration, working towards bronze (20 miles), silver (25 miles) and gold (30 miles) awards.

Happy Easter from our crew of 42 pupils and 5 staff who have arrived at Bristol Airport, they are very excited to see Barcelona.

Huge congratulations to our Year 11 pupil Ava who represented Boys and Girls Clubs of Wales today. Ava played excellently as part of a winning team against a strong London side. A fantastic achievement, Ava is a great role model for our younger pupils! Da iawn Ava, we are very proud of you.
