Latest news on vaccinations for 12-15 Year olds.

School has receieved the following information about COVID vaccinations for 12-15 year olds.  This is government documentation and we have had no further information as a school. We will publish more when it becomes available, but parents do not have to act or contact school at this time as these are only information documents and there are no firm plans in place.

Main points:

  • Twice weekly LFD testing available for staff and secondary learners to help identify and isolate asymptomatic cases as soon as possible.
  • Face coverings should be worn by secondary aged learners when moving around indoor communal areas outside of the classroom. Face coverings continue to be needed on school transport.
  • Face coverings should be worn by staff and visitors in schools when moving around indoor communal areas outside of the classroom, such as corridors, where physical distance cannot be maintained

Year 10 Self-Isolation

Children in Year 10 in school on either 30/6/21 or 1/7/21 have been identified as a contact of a confirmed case of COVID-19 and will now need to self-isolate for 10 days.

Year 10 children who were present in school on Thursday 1st July should isolate from 01/07/21.

Those that were absent on 1st but present on the 30 June should isolate from 30/6/21.

Those that were absent on both 30/6 and 1/7 are not close contacts and do not need to self isolate.  School will make contact tomorrow to confirm they can return to school.

All pupils return to school on Monday 12th.
