Uniform – Ysgol Bae Baglan

The Governing Body and staff at Ysgol Bae Baglan believe that a school uniform is an essential part of the ethos of the school giving a sense of belonging and helps create a working atmosphere. It also ensures that all pupils look the same which is extremely important for safeguarding, removes the stigma in terms of what to wear thus providing an identity for all. Unbranded Items

Parents are free to buy non-branded items from any leading high street store and these include items such as trousers, shirts, blouses, skirts and shoes. However, please support us by buying items that follow the uniform policy; we do not allow jeans, skinnies, trainers or canvas shoes.

The school’s decision on uniform is final. If parents are concerned about whether a particular item / style is suitable then they should contact the school for advice before buying or sending the child to school.

Jewellery is not allowed in school except a watch and a single set of stud earrings which are permitted. If makeup is worn by a pupil then it must be unobtrusive.

All pupils Reception – Year 6

White unbranded polo shirt
Black/Grey tailored trousers, black/grey jogging bottoms or black/grey pinafore or skirt
Crew neck sweatshirt or cardigan with school motif
In the summer optional Pinafore / Gingham style dresses – lilac and white in colour
In the summer optional black shorts

All outerwear, including hoodies, must be removed in the classroom.

All pupils Years 7-11

White long / short sleeved shirt / blouse with traditional collar
Plain black trousers or skirt. No jeans, cords, tracksuit bottoms, leggings or jeggings.
School Tie – Available from Sportec.
School Jumper (Optional) – Available from Sportec.
All black footwear, shoes or trainers.
In the summer optional PE Kit.

All outerwear, including hoodies, must be removed in the classroom.
