7LGL have been doing some chromatography this morning, a scientific technique which separates out mixtures based on their solubility. We have used to see all the different colours which make up the ink in felt tip pens.

Our Year 7 footballers represented the school brilliantly in this afternoon’s 8‑a‑side festival against Cwm Brombil. It was great to see so many pupils participating with enthusiasm, showcasing excellent passing, dribbling, and shooting skills. We are also grateful to the Year 10 boys who took on the responsibility of refereeing—your support ensured the games ran smoothly.

Mi roedd cystadleuaeth Bake Off ar gyfer dosbarth 8AHA yn ystafell Mrs Hill y prynhawn ‘ma. Am dalent! Roedd pizzars, cookies, macaroni cheese, a llawer o fisgedi, cacennau a phwdinau.

There was a Bake Off competition for class 8AHA in Mrs Hill’s room this afternoon. What talent! There were pizzas, cookies, macaroni cheese and loads of biscuits, cakes and puddings.

Cynhaliwyd Wyl Rygbi Merched Blwyddyn 7 yn yr ysgol heddiw. Digwyddiadi ardderchog sydd wedi cyflwyno rygbi i rai o’r merched am y tro gyntaf. Mwynheuodd bawb yn fawr iawn, diolch i Ysgol Bro Dur, Ysgol Llangatwg ac Ysgol Maesydderwen am ymweld a ni a diolch yn fawr i Mr Bramwell am ei threfnu.

A Year 7 Girls Rugby Festival was held in school today. An excellent event which introduced rugby to some of the girls for the first time. Everyone really enjoyed the festival, diolch to Ysgol Bro Du, Ysgol Llangatwg and Ysgol Maesydderwen for visiting and diolch yn fawr to Mr Bramwell for organising it.

On Wednesday 26th November, our Year 11 pupils visited the Skills Cymru Careers Event at Cardiff Arena. They explored a wide range of employment sectors, discovered exciting further and higher education opportunities, and had insightful conversations with employers. A fantastic experience to help shape their future pathways!

Only one week to go until our Christmas Craft Fayre at Ysgol Bae Baglan. Save the date and join us for a magical festive evening on Thursday 4th December from 4pm until 7pm. You can look forward to a wonderful variety of local arts and crafts, homemade cakes and treats, plus plenty of unique goodies that are perfect for a spot of seasonal shopping. Coffi Brawd will be serving hot drinks and Goggis Cuisine will be on site with delicious curries and sundries to keep everyone warm and happy while browsing.

We also have a festive photobooth where you and your loved ones can capture a family portrait for the Christmas season. Our talented pupils will be performing throughout the event to help create the perfect festive atmosphere.
